Step 1
The zippers are safety locking zippers that lock when the zipper pull is removed. This is a safety feature that prevents access to the contents inside the bean bag. First, you need to find a small rigid object to disengage the zipper. We recommend a paper clip or any small rigid object.
Step 2
Insert the paper clip (or a similar object) into the zipper head and pull the zipper open. SEE PICTURE BELOW ON HOW TO INSERT PAPER CLIP. As you pull the zipper back using the paper clip, it will disengage the locking zipper so leave the paper clip inside the zipper head.
Step 3
When finished accessing the inside of the bean bag, close the product to contain the contents inside. Keep in mind that the locking zipper will zip forward 'close zipper' with the zipper head disengaged but it will not 'open' unless disengaged. When you have closed the zipper remove the paper clip to ensure the zipper is again locked.
Use durable wire snips to clip off the zipper tab
Cut both sides of the zipper tab to remove it from the zipper head.
* Ensure you remove the entire zipper tab from the zipper head and don't leave any remaining metal pieces in the zipper head.
Only the zipper head will remain. It will be now LOCKED. In the locked position you can slide it CLOSED, but not open. To open the zipper, please follow the steps above using a paper clip to disengage the locked zipper.
After removing the zipper tab, you can throw away the zipper tab as you will not need this anymore.
